We then journey north 30 miles to Sor Fron (Gudbransdalen area) for a very unique cultural overnight experience at an old farmstead rich in history. We'll immerse ourselves in this place, sleeping where Kings have traversed–it's a part of the old Pilgrimage. Our host will share old historical stories of Sygaard Grytting in the oldest building dating back to the twelfth century. Each stay location has an attachment to Norwegian history that will be shared. Hilde will be preparing a most wonderful local style dinner for us. This has been truly a highlight for all of my travelers in the past. (A signature event)

Day Six, Monday, August 17
After a leisure breakfast time, and then visiting with the sheep, we travel over the beautiful Rondane mountain range, in Osterdalen. We may stop at Doralseter, which is in the heart of Rondane for a breath of fresh and clear mountain air and maybe time for a short hike, we will see.

From here our travels take us to Roros, in Sor Trondelag County, a historic copper mining town listed as a World UNESCO preserved sight. We will overnight at the preserved historical Rica Bergstadens Hotel. There, we are a five-minute walk to Roros Tweed wool factory and their outlet store. This is an amazing place to shop for highest quality Norwegian woven items and great bargains. Traditional area dinner will be served. The rest of the day is yours to explore the town.

Destination has not yet confirmed. We hopefully will be staying in the city center, but there is a large fishing exhibition going on, so there are few rooms available in Trondheim this week. The good news is that, there will be a rare opportunity to see wonderful places of interest for those interested in all things fishing! If lodging is not available, we will be staying in the outskirts of the city in a De Historiske Hotel, which has been wonderfully accommodating to our tours in the past. Dinner on your own if we stay in the city. This road passes through the Jotunheimen, the Hurrungane, and the Breheimen mountains.
